Jeff and I love laid-back engagement shoots, when it’s pared down to the essentials. We love shooting outdoors, and in existing spaces with natural light that people pass through and occupy on a regular basis. There’s character and history and a realness to these places that resonate with us, which lend to the organic, authentic work we always wish to do.
If you follow us on Instagram (@jeffandlisaphotography / @jeffllarena, @lisallarena), you would know how much we love Taipei. If you’ve heard that their street food is the best thing about the city, you’ve been misled.
It’s their many beautifully designed spaces that take your breath away. It’s that charm that is all at once precisely done and the right amount of dishevelled and lived in, that pulls us in. It’s how design is so weaved into their everyday lives that it is both intentional and effortless. There’s a slow living feel to the city that is all their own. Jeff and Jasmine brought us to our favorite cafe in Taipei to date, which is sadly closing down. It felt special to have been there with them then, knowing it would all be gone soon.
Jasmine and Jeff (her Jeff, haha) are wonderful human beings we’re glad to have met. Jasmine is adorable beyond words, and it was the cutest thing, seeing how they were together. I love how he makes her laugh. We have always, from the very beginning, hoped to capture exactly how the day feels. This is how it felt.
