Dennis and Karren’s Singapore Engagement Shoot

Dennis and Karren’s engagement session was my second shoot in a pretty epic 24-hour Singapore trip. I shot a family session in the morning and proceeded to spend the afternoon with them. The humidity was something else entirely that day and I was probably severely dehydrated by the time evening came along, but somehow these two kept me going. There’s something to be said about couples who are the best of friends above all things. You see it in how they make each other laugh, and how they fall into step with each other like it’s the most natural thing in the world. We’re very lucky to be able to do what we love doing best, but I always say it’s not easy. It’s the people we meet along the way and the lives that we become a part of even just for awhile that make it worth it.

  • Maya - So nice to see a blog from Jeff. :) The building with the colored shutters is one of my favorite buildings in SG.March 1, 2012 – 10:32 pmReplyCancel

    • Lisa - Hey, Maya! So very rarely happens, that. We’re still catching up with wedding season deadlines and album layouts, so it’s been busy. We’ve taken to a contest of sorts on who gets to blog more often starting this week. Hee. Wish me luck!March 2, 2012 – 3:04 pmReplyCancel

  • Greg Sharpe - This is a very nice series of photos. People are trying to convince me to shoot portraits but I haven’t had much luck with photos of people. I have a Canon 5D Mk II with a 24-105mm F4L lens. I understand that it takes practice and hundreds of photos to get comfortable, but somehow I am never satisfied with the results.

These are very inspiring photos and they will make a great collection to look back on for the couple.

    Great work!April 21, 2012 – 8:40 pmReplyCancel

  • eds - Hi Ivan and Kyla, I loved your photos. just want to ask did you have to get a license from Hortpark to have your engagement photo shoot? Or did you pay anything in Hortpark office for the engagement shoot?

Thanks and best wishes lovely couples.
