Cyril and Linda’s Amanpulo Wedding

Jeff and I love shooting both portraits and candids. I think one of the biggest things that define our work is how we take and mix both. For Cyril and Linda’s wedding, they specifically requested for very, very few portraits, and for us to be even more documentary than we already are. We took it as a challenge and, as always, shot our hearts out. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did taking them. It was a gorgeous wedding filled with love and happiness from friends and family who came from all over. If I remember correctly, that would be South Africa, France, Monaco, Dubai, and Singapore.

There were three things that particularly moved me. The first was how Linda sewed her father’s name into the lining of her dress as her “something blue”. Then there was how her brother teared up when he saw her in her dress, and how he held on to her hand so tightly as he walked her down the aisle. And most importantly, how the wedding wasn’t just in celebration of Cyril and Linda, but their son as well. This might be unusual for a wedding photographer, but I don’t consider weddings a necessity. You don’t have to get married to love with everything you have and spend the rest of your lives together, and you can have a family and be completely happy without ever getting married. But when you do, when you choose to, when you want to, even when you’re perfectly fine without, then it means the whole world.

Cyril and Linda, you have such a beautiful little family, and we’re honored to have been there with you. We wish you every happiness. Much love from our family to yours.

Great pictures! Remind me of John Jr and Carolyn’s wedding.

  2. Hi Jeff + Lisa,

I’m a new lifestyle photographer and aspiring wedding photographer, Though I’m new to this world of visual arts, I’ve seen so many fabulous work from different top photographers here in the Philippines, But this is my very first time writing a love letter,I call it ” love letter” for it’s more than just a comment, looking at these photos you create, gives so much love!Every smile, every move, every gesture is “authentic” that even writing my emotions don’t do justice! from how you work as a couple and a team, to working with your clients is so inspiring.Looking at these work of love on every single frame, brought my eyes to tears, it’s like I’m a princes in Disney land, like I’m the one who will get marry! your photos makes someone fall in love again and again!

Being a new photographer I have few obstacles to face, I guess we all have.I want you both to know that, your work inspires me to go on, and face the challenges.

more power to you both, and yes I’m so obsessed and in love with your craft.Continue inspiring us!

    More power! and stay fab!
