Moving In

For the past five years, our office has always been our spare bedroom and the nearest Starbucks. We shoot weddings and engagement sessions on location, and have never had any need for a studio, so we always found it pointless to get a separate office. To be honest, I liked editing in my pajamas because, well, who doesn’t. It’s so ridiculously comfortable. Over the last couple of years though, we’ve been feeling the need to grow our little team, but just couldn’t find the right space for it. A couple of months ago, we finally found it.

After over a month of renovations, we finally got to move in for real last Sunday. The frames still need photos, my Etsy prints still need frames, the shelves still need to be filled with books, and there are boxes all over the place. We met a couple here just the other day. It was an impromptu thing and I had to warn them that the place is still a mess, but they were fine with it, and we were just here, so why not. We couldn’t have asked for a better first meeting here. I am reminded all over again how lucky we are. We really do get the best couples.

So excited to finish moving in! If you follow us on Instagram, you’d know how incredibly happy I’ve been this week. We’re still cleaning and finding a place for everything, really. But the turntable is hooked up, we’re playing records all day long, and the place smells like freshly brewed coffee. We’re filling this space with all the things we love and can’t wait to share it with you. ♥
