They say we remember the world in still images. And your life’s most important moments, you remember them this way, as photographs. This is something we’ve explored in our work over the last five years, and something we’ve spoken about in detail in our workshops.
When you ask a photographer why he or she takes pictures, you will get all sorts of answers about capturing fleeting moments, which are honestly all quite right and true. But beyond all that, I think what Jeff and I really try to do is capture feelings. The mood of the day, the room. How the people in the room feel. How we feel about it all. This is how we tell stories.
More than remembering the moment when you see your photos again, we want you to remember exactly. how. it. felt. We want it all to come rushing back. So many people will celebrate their own loves in the exact same places, but none of them, not a single one, will know these places like you do.
We want it to feel like coming home, to a space and point in time that will always be yours, in a way that nobody else in the world can touch or understand the way you do.
