This was the last wedding we accepted for December 2011. We closed the month early because I was scheduled to give birth in November, but it was Erika of Detalye Weddings who asked about the date, so we took it on. I wasn’t able to go because I was still recovering then, but Jeff and the team rocked it without me, as they have with the rest of November and December. I am both incredibly proud and jealous. I spent those times waiting for my husband to come home at the end of the day so I could watch his on-site slideshows, living vicariously through them and falling in love all over again with how he sees the world.
I had the pleasure of editing this set though, and oh my god, swoonfest. Let’s just get it out of the way that Ivan looks like James Franco, and Kyla made a ridiculously stunning bride. The camera ADORES her, and that elegant French lace gown by Veejay Floresca was perfection on her. But how he treats her like a queen and how they melt into each other, that’s the dream.
Ivan and Kyla, all the best to one of the loveliest couples we’ve ever had the honor of joining. May you always know love like this.
