Of chance encounters.
Matt and Chesca met at a music festival. Matt came up to her and asked if she could see from down there, Chesca being petite. She in fact couldn’t, and a quick hoist up Matt’s shoulders took care of that.
Jeff and I have been talking about life paths this year. Albert Bandura says chance encounters have branching power. These unplanned moments (and the small decisions we make along the way) inspire ripples, a chain of events that have the ability to shift one’s life course completely.
And seven years after that fateful day, here they are getting married.
It was an epic Shangri-La Boracay wedding for these two last weekend. Guests from Australia, UK, and all over flew in. The love and joy were palpable, and everyone was on their feet and dancing by the end of the evening.
